Clubs and Activities

We know that students need opportunities to connect with other children outside the classroom. Joining a club gives children a comfortable place to meet others with similar interests. This often forms the basis for lifelong friendships.

Our school offers a wide range of clubs for students who want to explore music, math, theater, community service, sports, science, reading, writing, games, problem-solving and much more.

  • Odyssey of the Mind (OoTM) is an international problem-solving program that engages students in their learning by allowing knowledge and ideas to come to life in an exciting, productive environment. Participants build self-confidence, develop life skills, create new friendships, and are able to recognize and explore their true potential.  OoTM proves students can have fun while they learn!

  • MESA: Math Engineering Science Achievement

    Our Mission
We advocate for STEM education, equity and access in MESA States.

    Our Vision
To impact diverse populations to contribute to a competitive global workplace

    Who We Are?
Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) is nationally recognized for its innovative and effective academic development program. MESA engages thousands of educationally disadvantaged students so they excel in math and science and graduate with math-based degrees. MESA partners with all segments of  higher education as well as K-12 institutions.

MESA  has a proven track record with over 40 years in producing math-based graduates by providing support such as classes, hands-on competitions, counseling, transfer support and a community environment to students from middle school through four-year college.

Since 1970 MESA has helped students become scientists, engineers and mathematicians, filling an urgent need for qualified technical professionals. Through three branches of MESA, students from all segments of education are served through local centers. MESA partners with industry and all the major educational institutions throughout the United States.

    Who MESA Serves
Most MESA students are the first in their families to attend college. Most are low-income and attend (or have attended) low-performing school with few resources. MESA serves students in pre-college through the MESA Schools Program (MSP), community college students through the MESA Community College Program (MCCP), and four-year college level students in the MESA Engineering Program (MEP).

  • Tapping into the wellspring of children’s imaginations, Literacy Connects’ Stories that Soar! programs transform and share students’ words and ideas through the arts to inspire creativity, promote active literacy, and build engaged communities. When children realize their words and ideas have meaning and power beyond themselves, they seize the opportunity to engage in our collaborative process of bringing original stories to life.

Stories that Soar! programs (STS!) empowers K-12 students by giving voice to their original words and creative ideas through a variety of literacy and arts programs.

The club meets Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5:30pm.
