Eighth-Grade Promotion
The 8th grade promotion ceremony is scheduled for May 20, 2026 at 8:45am in the gym. Doors will open at 8:25am. We’ll recognize the accomplishments of our students at this assembly and wish them well as they are promoted. Please note that since this is not a graduation ceremony, individual student names will not be called. AJ Malis, the principal of AHS, will welcome them to high school. 8th grade students will be dismissed after the ceremony at 10:00 AM to allow your family to celebrate further.
Each student will receive two tickets for family members to attend. If your family will not use both tickets, please consider donating the extras to students with larger families. There is a link on our website on the 8th grade promotion page where you can donate your unused tickets. Tickets will go home with students on Friday, May 1st.
On Friday, May 8th, 2026 at noon, families can request up to two (2) additional tickets. The link to request tickets will be placed on our website in the 8th grade promotion page and sent through Parent Square, and it will go live at noon. We will honor as many requests as we can, based on the number of tickets donated by other families. Extra ticket requests will be honored on a first come, first served basis. Please use the form to request extra tickets. You may come in to the office to use a computer if you do not have access to the internet. We are limited due to the capacity allowed in the gym.
Please plan to park in the east parking lot (near the solar panels). If you need handicapped parking, please call Mrs. Wichers at 696-6234.
